The book addresses a variety of areas—coaching, team culture, leadership, management, evaluation, fitness, and self-training, as well as the college process.

Ashu Saxena ’91 holds the NSCAA Master Coach Diploma. He has received Coach of the Year Awards and has coached several teams to numerous successes on the national level.

Lab Rats tells the story of the rise, fall, and possible redemption of Walter Most, a biotechnology researcher with conflicting morals. The novel introduces Walter at a crossroads in his education, his career, and in his love life. Part romantic comedy, part a tale of the costs and benefits of honesty, and often funny, Lab Rats explores how the choices we make can bring us to places we never expected.

Stuart Spitalnic ’88 is an emergency physician practicing in Rhode Island. Lab Rats is his second novel.

The editors have assembled a book that describes successful cases covering electronic health record (EHR), telemedicine, and other health IT experiences, in which innovative uses of health-care IT have improved quality, efficiency, and value.

Chris McCarthy ’93 is an innovation specialist with Kaiser Permanente’s Innovation Consultancy and is director of the Innovation Learning Network.
