Dr. Herb Kee ’50, shown with his wife, Virginia, received the Community Physician Service Award from the Chinese American Medical Society. After earning his medical degree in his late 30s, Kee returned to his roots to practice in the Chinatown-Lower East Side area of Manhattan. In addition to treating families regardless of their ability to pay, he became a longtime volunteer at the Chinatown Health Clinic. He and his wife have established many social service programs for Asian Americans.

Harry (Bud) Lindner Jr. ’57 and Linda Sanford, M.S. ’75 Harry (Bud) Lindner Jr. ’57 and Linda Sanford, M.S. ’75, were the 2012 recipients of the Rensselaer Alumni Association’s Albert Fox Demers Medal, the second-highest honor bestowed by the RAA, which recognizes substantial contributions to the welfare of the Institute.
Dennis Powers ’63, a past president of the RAA, competed in the 630-mile Newport, R.I., to Bermuda Yacht Race in June 2012.Three members of his crew were Rensselaer graduates.
