Eight architects from the Class of 1985 gathered together, for the first time since graduation from Rensselaer (B. Arch) 27 years ago, at Center Hill Lake in middle Tennessee. Their collective group experience in the practice of architecture exceeds 216 years. Many good memories of Rensselaer and Troy were discussed, including Sutters, Elda’s, Volcano’s, Zepps, $2 pitchers at the Rat, Manory’s Diner, Holmes & Watson, Copper Mug, and trips to Saratoga on motorcycles, etc. The gathering included Michael Shilale, of New City, N.Y., Stuart Colby, of Portland, Ore., Kirk Rose, of Los Angeles, Calif., David Briggs, of New York, N.Y., Andy Goetze, of Boston, Mass., Steven Scuro, of New York, N.Y., John Amatruda, of Norwalk, Conn., and John Peruzzi, of Los Angeles, Calif., and Murfreesboro, Tenn.
